18th Annual Gold Crown

High School Summer Team Camp

Denver , Colorado

 

Girls Camp: June 13 – 15, 2013            Boys Camp: June 20 – 22, 2013

 

*All teams are guaranteed at least 8 games during the three-day camp*

*A majority of the games will be played at the six-court Gold Crown Field House, one of the region's premier basketball facilities*

 

FORMAT: All teams will play a minimum of eight games during the three-day camp.  Each team will play three pool play games on both Thursday and Friday and two tournament games on Saturday.  Note: Due to bracket size, some teams could play three tournament games on Saturday for a total of nine games.

 

DIVISIONS: The camp will feature boys and girls divisions for large, medium and small schools.  Five divisions will be offered: Large School Varsity (IA); Medium School Varsity (IB); Medium/Small School Varsity/Large School Junior Varsity (II); Small Sch. Varsity/Junior Varsity All Schools (III); Freshmen (IV). 

 

COMPETITION: As in years past, high schools from the following states will be invited to attend the camp: Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.  Over the past 18 years, the camp has had numerous teams attend from these states as wells as representation from Alaska and Illinois.  Last year’s camps featured over 240 boys and girls teams with 40 percent of the teams from outside the Denver Metro Area.

 

SPECIAL FEATURES: The camp offers many special features including: a fully catered pre-camp barbecue for all coaches and players; pre-camp shooting contests for prizes; paid scorekeepers for all games; officiating camps featuring high school and college officials; discount hotel rates at area hotels (most include breakfast); discount tickets to Water World and Elitch Gardens Amusement Park; free/discount tickets for out-of-town girls’ teams to attend the Colorado Rockies vs. Philadelphia Phillies game on Friday, June 14 (the Rockies are out of town during the boy’s camp).  Note: Men’s and women’s coaches from NCAA II and III, NAIA and Junior Colleges from around the region will be invited to attend the camp.

 

REGISTRATION: The registration deadline is Friday, May 31, 2013.  The camp fee is $620 per team.  Programs that register multiple teams will receive a $50 discount for each additional team registered. Please call or email the Gold Crown Office prior to registering to recieve a multiple team discount coupon code.  A  non-refundable, and non-transferable per team deposit is due by May 24th to confirm a spot in the camp.  If a team drops, within 10 days of the start of the camp, you will also be charged a $50 Cancellation Fee.  There will also be a per team registration transaction fee that is charged upon registration. For teams that are not paid in full by May 31, the remaining balance is due no later than June 12 for girls’ teams and June 19 for boys’ teams.   Gold Crown mailing address: Gold Crown Foundation, 150 S.
