Este desequilibrio puede producirse cuando los deportistas consumen muy pocas calor\u00edas en relaci\u00f3n con su nivel de actividad. Tambi\u00e9n puede deberse a una alimentaci\u00f3n desordenada que, ya sea por presiones sociales o por otros factores, tiende a darse con m\u00e1s frecuencia en las mujeres deportistas.<\/p>\n<h2>Disfunci\u00f3n menstrual<\/h2>\n<p>Si una adolescente no ha empezado a tener la menstruaci\u00f3n a los 15 a\u00f1os, pierde tres periodos consecutivos o tiene con frecuencia periodos con m\u00e1s de 35 d\u00edas de diferencia, se trata de una disfunci\u00f3n menstrual.
