Algunos est\u00e1n llenos, otros vac\u00edos y otros medio llenos.  Para alcanzar el m\u00e1ximo nivel deportivo, necesitamos que todos nuestros cubos est\u00e9n llenos.  S\u00f3lo disponemos de cierto tiempo al d\u00eda y de cierto tiempo a la semana para llenar estos cubos.  \u00bfCu\u00e1les son esos cubos y c\u00f3mo podemos llenarlos para alcanzar la excelencia deportiva?<\/p>\n<p>Los tres cubos son la velocidad, la agilidad y la rapidez.  Estos tres componentes son absolutamente esenciales para el crecimiento de un atleta y sin que cada uno de ellos sea abordado o \"llenado\", nos quedaremos cortos en la excelencia atl\u00e9tica.  La arena en los cubos son las habilidades aprendidas y la capacidad atl\u00e9tica para poder dominar cada una de las tres \u00e1reas. Cuando los atletas entrenan, est\u00e1n llenando uno de estos cubos a la vez, a veces incluso sin saberlo.  Tanto si el atleta trabaja con un entrenador, un preparador f\u00edsico, sus padres o simplemente un compa\u00f1ero de equipo, est\u00e1 poniendo arena en uno de los tres cubos: velocidad, agilidad o rapidez.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-21775-0-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"1\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Velocidad<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>Empecemos por la velocidad, \u00bfqu\u00e9 significa velocidad y c\u00f3mo la trabajamos?  La velocidad es la capacidad del atleta para moverse en el plano sagital.  Esencialmente, la velocidad consiste en que el atleta se mueva en l\u00ednea recta hacia delante lo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido posible.  Algunos ejemplos de esto son la carrera de 40 yardas de la NFL o la carrera ol\u00edmpica de 100 metros.  Entonces, \u00bfc\u00f3mo entrenamos para mejorar nuestra velocidad?  Entrenamos el cuerpo para que sea eficiente y potente.  En primer lugar, trabajamos la aceleraci\u00f3n, lo que el atleta pone en el suelo le \"empujar\u00e1\" hacia delante para iniciar el movimiento.  Una vez que el atleta ha acelerado, depende de la mec\u00e1nica y la movilidad muscular mantener al atleta movi\u00e9ndose a la m\u00e1xima velocidad.  Trabajamos la velocidad con los atletas aumentando su potencia y su disponibilidad de contracci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida, lo que significa que movemos las cosas r\u00e1pido. Arrojemos algo de luz sobre el tema y aclaremos qu\u00e9 es realmente y en qu\u00e9 se diferencia de la velocidad y la rapidez.  La agilidad es un cubo que la mayor\u00eda de los atletas j\u00f3venes necesitan llenar.  Necesitamos llenarla antes de empezar a llenar la siguiente, la rapidez.  Para ser breve y directo, la agilidad es la capacidad de acelerar, desacelerar, estabilizarse y cambiar r\u00e1pidamente de direcci\u00f3n con una postura adecuada.  \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 es importante?  Uno, si no podemos realizar bien las acciones descritas anteriormente, estaremos constantemente reaccionando tarde y con una mala mec\u00e1nica.  La mayor\u00eda de las veces esto se traduce en ser golpeado en defensa o no tener los movimientos suficientes para golpear a tu oponente.  En segundo lugar, cuando cambiamos de direcci\u00f3n con la postura adecuada y tenemos la capacidad neurol\u00f3gica de controlar velocidades elevadas, reducimos enormemente el riesgo de lesiones.  Tener el control de nuestro cuerpo cuando aceleramos, desaceleramos y cambiamos de direcci\u00f3n, ayuda a nuestros m\u00fasculos a trabajar al un\u00edsono y a menudo puede mantenernos fuera de las posiciones vulnerables de las articulaciones. Tomemos los principios de velocidad y agilidad y a\u00f1adamos un componente reactivo.  La rapidez es la capacidad de reaccionar y cambiar la posici\u00f3n del cuerpo con una tasa m\u00e1xima de producci\u00f3n de fuerza.  Si has practicado alg\u00fan deporte a lo largo de tu vida, esto se aplica a ti.  Cuando piensas en deportes, ya sean de equipo o individuales, la rapidez est\u00e1 en todas partes y a menudo te hace o te deshace como atleta.  Cuando hacemos ejercicios y entrenamientos para estos tres cubos, los clasificamos en dos partes: \"ejercicios cerrados\" y \"ejercicios abiertos\".  Los ejercicios cerrados se planifican previamente y a menudo se inician con esfuerzos subm\u00e1ximos.  Los ejercicios abiertos son de naturaleza reactiva y normalmente se realizan a altos niveles de velocidad y producci\u00f3n de fuerza.  La velocidad y la agilidad se suelen entrenar con ejercicios cerrados, mientras que la rapidez se suele entrenar con ejercicios abiertos.
