Speaker Series: The Convenience of Loneliness

THE CONVENIENCE OF LONELINESS

Ali Schroer is a psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who specializes working with children, adults and families. Join us as she delves into the idea of loneliness as a convenient state, and how it can lead to negative consequences for our own mental health and our kids. We'll explore the reasons why some people may find comfort in being alone, and the potential pitfalls of isolating oneself for extended periods of time.  This presentation will identify strategies for building and maintaining meaningful social connections, while also providing strategies to take care of ourselves and our children/teens. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of the importance of social connection and its role in maintaining good mental health.
