Gold Crown Enrichment offers a variety of programs throughout the year. Depending on the community's needs, our staff implements new events to best serve youth. We also work with schools in Jeffco Public Schools to introduce students to new technologies. At our Summer Camps, we focus on the social and emotional development of teens in addition to exploring creative interests. SPRING BREAK CAMP: SOLD OUT
Space Exploration and Astronomy in Minecraft
Come explore imaginative worlds and astronomy scenarios in Minecraft Java Edition! Learners investigate space exploration “what if?” questions, such as “What if the earth were a moon?” or “What does the surface of an exoplanet look like?” Participants will play the role of scientists and engineers as they take part in creative and critical thinking design prompts, like drawing exoplanets or exhibits in the planetarium. As a final project they work in small teams to build and present a Minecraft mars base! This camp is brought to you by Project WHIMC and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
