Fall Youth Development Basketball League

The Youth Development Basketball League is one of our fastest-growing programs! It's perfect for beginners or players with less than three years of experience. Whether new to the sport or with some camp or school play background, participants will focus on learning fundamentals, developing proper skills, playing as a team, and having fun. Our practice/play model offers high-quality experience with low commitment.

League Information

  • Open to 2nd - 8th grade boys and girls
    • Divisions will be coed unless registration numbers allow for separate boys & girls divisions
  • Practice/Play model, play between 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
    • 90 minutes each week: 45 minutes of practice/45 minute game
  • Hosted at the Gold Crown Field House: 150 S. Harlan St. Lakewood, CO 80226
  • Individual registration, Gold Crown will form teams
    • Teammate and coach requests are accepted, but not always guaranteed
    • If you have a recreational team already formed that you want to register, please contact our office first
  • October 2: All teams practice and scrimmage, no league games
  • Volunteer coaches needed! If interested, please indicate on registration form or contact our office.

League Features

  • NO DAILY ADMISSION FEES
  • League will follow modified Jr. NBA guidelines based on grade
    • 2nd - 4th Graders: all practices and games will be played on 9’ baskets
  • 5-game season, 1 game and 1 practice each week (Teams will play 2 games last week of the season)
  • Every player receives a Gold Crown reversible jersey
  • Coaching plans provided, visit the Coaches Corner
  • One Gold Crown official assigned for each game
  • All coaches receive two free Denver Nuggets tickets to a 2025-26 game
  • 1st place teams in each division receive free Denver Nuggets tickets to a 2025-26 game
