We know video games are popular among teens, which online predators easy access to teens. The FBI is investigating ways to prevent what it calls sextortion, when an adult coerces a minor online into sending explicit photos as blackmail. There are three important safety tips for parents:
- Keep profiles private and change passwords often
- No personal information visible in photos
- Consistent dialogue with kids is key
