Predators Targeting Kids in Video Game Chatrooms

We know video games are popular among teens, which online predators easy access to teens. The FBI is investigating ways to prevent what it calls sextortion, when an adult coerces a minor online into sending explicit photos as blackmail. There are three important safety tips for parents:

  1. Keep profiles private and change passwords often
  2. No personal information visible in photos
  3. Consistent dialogue with kids is key
