Year 3 of the Clubhouse to College/Career (C2C) Pathways to Success program is off to a great start. Last week, 13 of our 17 C2C members attended the Lakewood High School College Fair and each participant spoke to 3-5 different schools at the event. This was a great way for our C2C members to learn more about their post-secondary academic options. Prior to attending the fair, each C2C participant reviewed a list of schools that would be in attendance and gained some tips and tricks provided by former LHS counselor (and current C2C mentor) Susan Hunt.
What’s on deck?
Our 17 youth, made up of students from Alameda International Jr./Sr. High School, Lakewood High School, Northfield High School and D’Evelyn Jr./Sr. High School, are gearing up for a busy month. They will each learn more about their individual strengths (identified through Myers-Briggs and TRUE Colors assessments) and how those strengths might influence their career interests and help guide them to a successful future.
Stay tuned for more updates as these youth progress through our program this year!
